AVALANCHE FORECAST

As winter walkers, mountaineers and climbers we are constantly dealing with challenging environments.  One of which is the snow conditions which can have a detrimental effect on our planning for the day(s).  Hence, avalanche forecast information is at the top of our list when we plan our days out.  Or choosing an objectove for the day (s).

The Scottish Avalanche Information Service (SAIS) publishes daily reports of observed and forecast, avalanche, snow, and mountain conditions at the most popular areas of Scotland during the winter season. They provide very detaioled information reports on their observed and forecast predictions regarding the snowpack and possible dangers.
